February 8 - the Department of Turkic philology at the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations presented literary readings of Turkish poetry within the student group "Young Turkologist". The event was held with the support of Turkish Center that opened at KFU recently with the assistance of the Institute of Yunus Emre (Turkey).
This event was long-expected and therefore attracted quite a number of speakers, reciters and listeners.
Among the distinguished guests of the evening was Turkish poet, musician, translator, member of the Writers’ Union of Tatarstan, Fatih Kutlu. Fatih-Bey soulfully and expressively recited poems of Turkish poets in traditional national style.
Such literary events complement the learning process and extend the knowledge of the literature the studied region. During the event students had the opportunity of informal communication and active discussion of literary works.
