Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan visited the new Master Programs Center at the Institute of Psychology and Education.

Director of IPE Aydar Kalimullin escorted the guest and showed him around the premises. This new center is the first such facility in all of Russia.

During the visit Minister Fattakhov talked to postgraduates, some of whom are already working as teachers. He was pleasantly surprised that the number of those who started jobs in this field has risen from 30% to 60% since those individuals had started their master studies. He mentioned that he wants to provide 15,000 RUB in monthly stipends to those postgraduates who choose to enroll in target programs with further assignments to secondary schools in Tatarstan. The financial details should be discussed soon to facilitate payments since autumn 2017.

He further promised to personally supervise such target programs at the Institute and hold a number of meetings with young teachers studying here.

The Minister also mentioned other incentives for teachers with special focus on accommodation subsidies for professionals who choose to move to rural regions.
