Dr. Strebulaev spent four days in the city giving lectures to MBA students of KFU and government officials of Tatarstan.

Rector Gafurov told the guest about the University’s global strategy. In particular, medical education was discussed. The Rector mentioned that returning medical science to the University had a favorable influence on research and overall image of the institution.

Professor Strebulaev then stopped at the Universmotri TV station to talk about his area of expertise – competitiveness in today's turbulent business environment.

He said, among other things, «Most importantly, you have to receive good fundamental education. The time of narrow specialists has passed. Everything changes quickly, and no one can say what the world will be like in 10 – 15 years. Only wide knowledge can help you».

Dr. Strebulaev also noted similarities between Stanford’s and KFU’s approaches to education and their adherence to providing fundamental knowledge to the youth. The sides’ development trajectories are very much alike in this regard.
