Several companies visited Kazan University during the week.

Representatives of Hong Kong Unite Creation International Co. Ltd. were at the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies on October 10th. IGPT and its Center for Additional Education, Quality Management and Marketing (CAEQMM) holds internships for TNG Group together with HKUCI. Several TNG employees spent time in Beijing and Xi’an in 2015 to learn more about geophysical and geodesic methods of geological exploration. This October will see the second such visit – dedicated to geonavigational support of drilling.

Schlumberger held its regular presentation for senior students together with CAEQMM on October 12th. The room was packed – more and more bright KFU alumni end up working at one of the biggest oilfield services companies every year. The company and CAEQMM also discussed prospective curriculum plans.

A delegation from Zhuoda Group visited the KFU Engineering Center at the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute. Director of the Center Gennady Mavrin presented a project on sewage sludge treatment by continuous pyrolysis. The Chinese company, known for its construction business, showed interest in more detailed negotiations on the matter further down the road.
