All the paperwork on the famous historical building at 46 Karl Marx Street has been finalized.
The hospital will accommodate several facilities for the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology. Building 1 is for the new Dentistry and Implantology Center, building 2 is for studies, and building 3 will host a simulation lab for surgery training.
The Medical Studies Center will include different labs and rooms, such as for trichology, aesthetic medicine, allergology and immunology, pharmacology. There will also be a student council room, an ethical committee room, an accreditation center, the Military Hospital Museum, and the Kazan University Medical Museum. Finally, departments of bioecology and pharmacology plan to move there as well.
The hospital, established in 1809, is one of the significant local heritage sites, so renovations have to follow special protocol. The investment is planned to be in the range of 370 – 420 million rubles.
