Senior Vice President of AACSB Tim Mescon talked with Rector Ilshat Gafurov and Director of HSB Alsu Akhmetshina on July 21st.

AACSB was established in 1916 and is one of the oldest accrediting organizations in the world. Dr. Mescon served as president of Columbus State University in Georgia and was named president emeritus before joining AACSB.

The three executives discussed AACSB and HSB's cooperation plans. It was agreed that the KFU Higher School of Business will soon become a member of the Association.

Alsu Akhmetshina commented, «Cooperating with this organization is important to us because it is one of the three most prestigious business education associations in the world. An immense number of business schools are members of the Association, and we need to collaborate with them to develop our Higher School of Business and elevate our education to international standards».

During his trip Dr. Mescon also gave a lecture at the RANEPA Summer Camp near Kazan.
