Kazan University Presents Its Work at Tatarstan Oil Summit

The 15th iteration of the event is held in Bugulma Municipal District.

The summit is a traditional gathering ground for businesses and researchers in this field. KFU is showing several inventions and technologies, such as ethylene production catalysts, deposit monitoring, and others.

Petroleum industry is a traditional locomotive for Tatarstan's economy. In 2016 so far 17.29 million tons of oil have been extracted in the Republic. Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov gave a report on the current state of affairs in his domain and informed the public that the petroleum cluster accounts for 23% of regional GDP. KFU’s technological advances are of great importance for the further development of this vital industry.

The summit will also include several other small events in Almetyevsk and its suburbs. One of them is the field geology tournament, of which Kazan University is a participant.
