The two new important objects of the infrastructure, a beauty salon and a supermarket were opened in the Universiade Village of the 27th World University Summer Games in Kazan on December, 22.
Rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov and the Universiade Village Mayor Farid Abdulganiev solemnly cut the red ribbon in the presence of students. "Today we witness the realization of your requests!" said the Rector.
The guests inspected the facilities. The beauty salon will provide the following services: hairdressing (both a male and a female salon for two customers), massage, beauty and nail services, a solarium. The supermarket allows customers the possibility of purchasing groceries and a wide variety of related products.
Both new objects are owned by the Kazan Federal University Catering and Trading Company. Ilshat Gafurov assured that the pricing policy would be acceptable to the students-residents of the Village. The emotions of the first supermarket’s buyers were mostly positive: "The prices are really lower than in other stores," "It's great that we can buy food nearby!"
According to the Rector, the University does everything to make the life of the students more comfortable and interesting. The University has already purchased the equipment to install an open-air disco next year. The hockey boxes and other sports facilities will be opened in the Village taking into account the recent achievements of Kazan Federal University.
As the Universiade Village Mayor Farid Abdulganiev mentioned to the journalists each step towards the Universiade is undertaken in accordance with the requirements of the International University Sports Federation (FISU).
The faculty and students of the Institute of Management and Territorial Development also received New Year's gift. Rector Ilshat Gafurov and Director of the Institute Nailya Bagautdinova opened the dining room in a festive atmosphere. The room with fashionable design and comfortable soft sofas meets the requirements of the most demanding taste.
Now the students of Kazan Federal University have another cozy place where it is possible to have a tasty lunch at a reasonable price and spend a good time. The new dining room is located at 6/20, Kremlyovskaya street.
