On December, 3 an official opening of Samsung Electronics interactive educational class was held. The event was attended by the President of Samsung headquarters on CIS countries Jun Sang Ho, KFU Rector Ilshat Gafurov, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Fattakhov Engel,  Vice-president of Samsung headquarters on CIS countries Jay Sul Yu and the Deputy Minister of Information and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan Yuri Bagrov.

The interactive educational class at KFU became possible due to the Memorandum of Understanding (in science and innovation development) signed between the company «Samsung» and Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University in June. A month later a unique laboratory - Samsung Android Lab - was opened in Kazan University. “Today we are witnessing an innovative class start-up. I think we are ahead of many joint projects, including the opening of Samsung research center organized in Kazan University”, said Rector, opening the ceremony.

According to Mr. Jun Sang Ho this event is important for Samsung company as well: “This is a milestone in the history of Samsung in Russia. We want this project of interactive educational class at Kazan Federal University, as well as other projects implemented in various Russian schools to contribute to the process of modernization of vocational and higher educational institutions in all Russian regions.”      

Signing of the electronic certificate and the symbolic red ribbon cutting marked the interactive educational class opening. After this the Samsung Electronics representatives showed the guests the ceremony of B2B solutions for educational institutions, including the interactive E-Board, Tablet Slate PC  with a processor Intel Core i5, that combine the performance of laptop and portability of tablet.     

The event participants were able to see all benefits of the innovative interactive educational class and personally experience it in action. The new class has outstanding possibilities!

Afterwards there occurred a question: “Who will study in this class?” The Rector Ilshat Gafurov told that school teachers who are taking further training or retraining courses will get acquainted with this class. Moreover, mathematicians and those who work in the sphere of information technologies will study here. Various lectures for state and municipal officials will be held in this class too.
