Kazan Scientists at Arizona State University

The delegation of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University headed by Nail Kashapov, KFU Vice-Rector for Innovations has been undertaking an internship on innovative technologies at Arizona State University.

The members of the delegation are fellows of Office of Innovative Development, the exe­cutives and representatives of small innovative enterprises established under KFU Institute of Ecology and Geography, Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology, Higher School of Information Technologies and Information Systems. The internship is organized in the framework of the RF Government Decree № 219.

For reference. Arizona State University (ASU) is listed in the top twenty universities in the USA and the Top 100 best universities in the world. It enrolls more than 70,000 students. ASU faculty include 3 Nobel laureates, 800 permanent and 1,500 visiting professors. The University is distinguished due to a developed system of innovation activities.

KFU Vice-Rector for Innovations N. Kashapov and ASU Vice-President V.Petaski discussed the system of engineering education at Arizona State University and explored the possibilities of establishing cooperation between the universities during the official reception.

The internship program includes lectures by leading Arizona and California experts in the field of innovative technologies. The lectures cover the educational and research system at Arizona State University, priorities and opportunities of the international business, engineering systems, commercialization of Intel innovative technologies, commercialization of technologies in the international business, export and import of innovative technologies.

The internship is supervised by ASU exe­cutives and senior professors.
