Institute of Philology and Arts and Baku Slavic University Signed a Co-operation Treaty

On October 04 – October 05, 2012 the Director of the Institute of Philology and Arts of KFU, Mr. Radif Zamaletdinov, and academician Mirfatykh Zakiyev took part in the work of Baku International Humanities Forum.

Reference information: Baku International Humanities Forum is an annual meeting of eminent representatives of political, scientific and cultural elite of the world community, including famous statesman, Nobel Prize winners in various branches of science, heads of influential international organisations. The objective of the Forum is to carry on dialogue and exchange opinions on a wide spectrum of issues of global nature, representing interest for the entire humanity.

Politicians, representatives of natural and social sciences and humanities, as well as of cultural elite of Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaidzhan, Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Morocco, Lithuania, Pakistan, China, Kuwait, Canada, USA and many other countries spoke at the Forum this year.

In Radif Zamaletdinov’s judgement, the Forum really assists in coming to optimal decisions on urgent questions worrying all mankind. “Present-day technologies are able to change not only politics, society and culture, but also the phenomenon of humanity as a whole, ‑ he said, ‑ that is why it is necessary for us as scientists to present results we get to the whole world, when making discoveries”.

Director of the Institute of Philology and Arts of KFU, Mr. Radif Zamaletdinov, took part in the work of “round tables” and made a report on the subject: “Results of researches in the sphere of Tatar cultural linguistics”, presenting a scientific experience of higher education institutions of Tatarstan in the above mention branch.

A really outstanding event took place in the framework of the Forum: Baku Slavic University and the Institute of Philology and Arts of Kazan Federal University signed a Co-operation Treaty. Rector of Baku Slavic University, Mr. Kamal Abdullayev, and Director of the Institute of Philology and Arts of KFU, Mr. Radif Zamaletdinov, affixed their signatures to the document.

According to this document, the Parties undertook to exchange teachers, scholars, officials and students against compulsory, short-term and medium-term educational programs; conduct joint scientific researches; provide refresher training for academic teaching staff; compile and translate learning aids and study guides; hold joint seminars, conferences, symposiums etc.; exchange publications on the whole complex of co-operation problems; organize and conduct marketing researches in the sphere of educational services with a view to find future entrants; carry out works on strengthening business connections with future employers of university graduates.
