Kuan Leman thanked the Rector for fruitful cooperation, and also talked about the projects that are developed at Confucius Institute, as Hunan Normal University is the curator of the Institute from the Chinese side. In particular, he focused on the field of "Sinology" in relation to potential active cooperation. In addition, HNU is now starting a project where much attention is given to Natural Sciences. "We look forward to working with you in these areas," - said the guest. He also invited Ilshat Gafurov to take part in a meeting of the Board of Confucius Institutes in Russia.

Today Kazan Federal University gave start to the 5th International conference "Russia and China: History and Culture."
The event, organized by Confucius Institute, has already become a tradition. This year's conference brought together about one hundred participants from China, Uzbekistan and Russia. Our country is represented by scientists from Moscow, Volgograd, Saint Petersburg, Elista, Perm, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Ulan-Ude, Naberezhnye Chelny and, of course, Kazan.
The ceremony was opened by Vice Rector for External Relations Linar Latypov. He talked about how the study of the Chinese language is organized at KFU. Vice Rector said that in the nearest future this process will go beyond mere language and culture teaching and will enfold classical Sinology. "I think that our conference will serve as a contribution to the study of Chinese and as the strengthening of our friendship and our scientific and educational links" - summed up Linar Latypov.
Vice Rector of Hunan Normal University Kuang Leman thanked scholars and teachers of Kazan Federal University for distributing the Chinese Language in Russia. "I am confident that the conference will greatly stimulate the teaching and attract more people to learn the Chinese language and culture. I hope that the conference will contribute to the fact that the Confucius Institute will reach a new level of development "- wished the guest from China.
The conference will last for two days. The program includes the work of three sections, the sessions will consider the issues and methods of teaching Chinese language, philosophy and culture of China, as well as the history, current state and prospects of Russian-Chinese relations.
In addition, everyone will have a chance to visit the open and highly original tutorials by visiting lecturers from China, introducing the features of Chinese music and cuisine.
