Delegations from Gagauzia and Turkey Visit Kazan University

Medicine and academic exchange were among the topics discussed with Gagauzian delegation.

The delegation from Gagauzia was headed by Governor Irina Vlah. The delegates visited the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology, met with local Gagauzian students, and spent time with Vice-Rector for Foreign Relations Linar Latypov.

Irina Vlah said, “What we see here is a testimony to the serious progress of science in the country. I see your serious attitude to science and education and would be glad to work with you. There is such a necessity for our educational institutions and medical establishments”.

Irina Vlah was also content with the Gagauzian students' positive feedback about their time at Kazan University. “I saw that they have many positive emotions from studying here. I think we should continue sending our students here, especially to study medicine. And, of course, we are glad that they are taught in Russian”.

Dr. Latypov answered that KFU would be glad to receive more students who want to become skilled medical professionals.

The Institute of FMB was also visited by Turkish businesspersons representing companies engaged in nuclear medicine, radiology, robotic rehabilitation systems, and cardiology. The delegation was accompanied by Nikolay Podkolzin, member of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group.

Fatih Ozkan, President of MEFA Dis Ticaret Ltd. Sti., told that the delegates are interested in widening their presence in Russia and Kazan. Special attention is paid to Tatarstani universities which can participate in the relevant research.
