Chinese-Russian Relations in Focus at Kazan University

8th International Conference «Russia-China: History and Culture» kicked off on October 8th.

This time the conference includes five panels. Over 90 participants from Russia, China, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, and Kazakhstan are attending.

Vice-Rector Linar Latypov emphasized the importance of bilateral relations. Education is one the spheres where the cooperation increases by day; for example, BRICS Network University will soon be established.

Kazan University and its Chinese partners produce joint papers, exchange students and academics. Dr. Latypov said that this conference is another chance to find new contacts and start collaborations.

The conference grows in scale. For instance, Young Sinologist panel was established last year. Russian Director of the Confucius Institute of KFU Dzhamil Zaynullin expressed his joy about the influx of new faces each year. He said that young researchers' interest in this field is definitely a cause for optimism.

The conference will conclude on October 11th.
