September 2nd – 3rd were the Days of German Science at KFU.
The goal of Days of German Science is to familiarize German colleagues with research at Kazan universities, widen the scope of cooperation between Germany in Russia in science, education, and innovation.
On September 2nd Vice-Rector for International Relations Linar Latypov and Director of Psychology Training Center Endje Akhmadullina met Director of DWIH Gregor Berghorn and Director of the Russian office of DFG Jorn Achterberg. They discussed the opportunities for professional exchange between KFU's ISLAMICA Center and German specialists in Islamic studies. The plans to establish the Ethnopsychology and East-West Cultural Communications Center were also mentioned. The Center will be jointly helmed by Saint-Petersburg State University, Sigmund Freud University Paris, and Francoise Minkowska Center.
On September 3rd KFU was visited by a team of German researchers led by the head of the Department for Cooperation with Russia and the CIS of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science of Germany Michael Schlicht. The guests toured the Institute pf Physics and the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Sciences.
