Ilshat Gafurov and Andrzej Gospodarowicz met yesterday, May 13th, at KFU.

Department of Banking of the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance has had strong ties with Polish universities in recent years. They were established during a 2012 conference titled “Banking and Industry of Russia and Poland: Cooperation Strategy”. The conference took place in May 2012 and attracted more than 100 participants from both countries.

Dr. Gafurov and other delegates visited Wroclaw University of Economics in October 2012. The cooperation agreement between two universities was signed during the visit.

There is already a double master's program «Banking and Industry» run by the two universities. During their meeting Dr. Gafurov and Dr. Gospodarowicz agreed to establish more cooperative master’s programs.

During the meeting the parties made a preliminary arrangement on launching English language master's courses in Logistics, Economic Modeling and Healthcare Management. Students from both countries will be eligible.
