DAAD Lecturers Visit KFU

Lecturers from DAAD offices throughout the regions of Russian Federation took part in the delegation. The head of the DAAD information centre in Kazan Thilo Cinekker accompanied the delegation.

The German Academic Exchange Service or DAAD is the largest German support organization in the field of international academic co-operation. DAAD is a private, federally funded and state-funded, self-governing national agency of the institutions of higher education in Germany, representing 365 German higher education institutions                       

The official goal of the visit is a meeting of the working group accompanied by Thilo Cinekker in the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication.

The deputy head of international affairs of IPIC and the head of the Kazan International Linguistic Centre Gulnara Sadykova, as well as the Head of Academic Mobility Division of KFU Olga Pavlova, participated in the official meeting with DAAD representatives.

The meetings were held on the 20 to 21of April 2015. During the first meeting the participants discussed matters related to the effective counseling of Russian schoolchildren, students, young scholars, etc., as well as education in Germany, requirements of German universities for foreign applicants. It should be mentioned that before studying in Germany, Russian school graduates must pass a preparatory course in Studienkolleg at a university in Germany. DAAD lecturers discussed regional peculiarities of admission of Russian students into Studienkolleg and stated the main stages of preparation of admission documents.
