Abstract

The paper deals with the legal aspects of notification problems of accomplished or planned official actions of courts, as well as administrative, civil, and legal enforcement systems and other institutions of power, administration, and control. General principles and approaches to this problem have been considered as an example of the current law of the Republic of Latvia. Some legal norms of the Russian Federation have been analyzed. The canceled legal norms have been also discussed. In order to completely solve the problem, the paper provides a historical review in the context of the subject under study.

The relevance of the problem has been demonstrated in relation to the adoption of the amendments to the Federal Law “On Citizenship of the Russian Federation” (2014), which set the imperative requirement of notification about dual citizenship.

The theoretical significance of the paper lies in discovering a different approach to regulation of the notification process in the legal space of the European Union. At the same time, the attention of specialists and researchers has been attracted to the need of further development of the problem. The retrospective experience of legal regulation associated with the notification has been investigated.

The practical benefit of the study is that a suggestion to adopt relevant legislation with detailed regulation of the notification process capable of strengthening the legal framework of the state and protecting the legitimate interests of stakeholders has been made.
