The article reveals features of the implementation of expressive syntax in the Tatar and French languages, which are actively being studied at present. The emotional state of communicants affects the speaker’s and hearer’s communicative settings, as well as the structural and semantic organization of sentences that implement these settings into the process of verbal communication. Emotional and expressive sentences in Tatar and French are specialized syntactic means and serve to implement the category of emotional expression.
