Russian scientists prepare a break through

For the first time in Russia all areas of scientific knowledge, life sciences and technologies, unite – young researchers are storing up major changes.

Moscow Science Week (MSW) is not just a scientific forum gathering the best Russian researchers. First of all, it is an attempt of young scientists to speak about the perspectives of science and its infinite possibilities due to the integration of biology, physics, chemistry, social sciences, business, and new technologies. Science and time are inseparable; the anthropocentrism of the 21st century affects all spheres of life, whereas a man has always been a central object of scientific study.  MSW 2014 addresses the Lord of Creation and nearby, from cell physiology research to social and political challenges.

Secondly, the young generation realizes the benefits technologies give as well as they are able to derive them. Moscow Science Week is a pilot project focused upon a constructive dialogue between scientists of different areas, development of horizontal communication, generation of brand new ideas interface between science and technologies, as well as search of new instruments for cooperation and career paths.

The third specific goal of Moscow Science Week is to point up solutions rather than problems. However, planning Russian science's future the researchers will not forget its past. The forum offers lectures of recognized men of science, panel discussions and round tables, reports of youth scientific awards holders, to get to know those who make history and explore their research papers. Communication at the forum further grows into a certain permanent platform for effective scientific interrelation, and solution of the problem of researchers' communication with the experts of related fields of education, industry, and business.

MSW 2014 will be held under the integration of three academies of science – Russian Academy of Science, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, and Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The first part of the forum will be held at the Russian Academy of Science on September 8-10, the second one will run on September 11-12 at Moscow State University and National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute). Moreover, on September 1-7 and 13-21 MSW will host specialized schools for young scientists at research institutes. A large-scale conference is organized by the RAS Young Scientists Council and the Coordinating Council of the Youth in Scientific and Educational Spheres with the Council of the President of the Russian Federation on Science and Education. Full agenda is available at the MSW web site.
