KFU graduate's daughter needs help!

Aigul Mukhametzyanova, the graduate of KFU Faculty of Journalism and Sociology, mother of two-year-old Yasmina, asked for help to her daughter in her VK.com post on July 15.

This July a horrible diagnosis of aggressive cancer (retroperitoneal neuroblastoma) was unexpectedly determined to two-year-old Yasmina Mukhametzyanova.

If a small lump was not discovered by chance, there were much less chances to help the girl. And today time is not on Yasmina’s side as the lump keeps on growing. But there is hope.

Aigul Mukhametzyanova says that they learned about the disease by chance.

- We were in Greece. Ilnur and Yasmina were splashing in the pool. Ilnur was holding on Yasmina by the belly to let her swim. And he paid attention to something hard in the belly, on the right. The lump was still there on the next day. WE went to a doctor, then to a hospital, then to another one, where they did an ultrasound and said that the situation was serious. Thank s to our medical insurance company, in 12 hours we were in Kazan and the very day were hospitalized to Republic Clinical Hospital. Yasmina was cheerful and looked healthy. In the hospital they did tomography and biopsy. The diagnosis was retroperitoneal neuroblastoma.

The treatment includes high dose chemotherapy, complicated surgery, bone marrow transplant and antibody immunotherapy. All mentioned and effective diagnostics are available in Israel. WE should start treatment as soon as possible, as time is not on our side. We will appreciate any help.

Doctors of several clinics of Germany and Israel are ready to start treatment.

Yasmina will have to pass hardship that is high dose chemotherapy, oncotomy, a new course of chemotherapy, and maybe bone marrow transplant.

Treatment costs about 15, 500, 000 rubles. Our parents  are about to sell their flat and car, but even then we have only a half of required money. We lack 6,500,000 rubles to fully pay for the treatment.

On July 16, Yasmina and her parents took a flight to Moscow to N.N.Blokhin  Russian Cancer Research Centre where today, on July 17, they started examination.
