The delegation paid a visit to KFU within the framework of its participation in 6th International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries “KazanSummit 2014”.

The guests were met by the KFU President Myakzyum Salakhov who accompanied them in a museum tour. Mevlüt Cavușoglu left a note in the Book of Honorary Guests: “I am glad to be in Kazan Federal University for a second time. In 2011 I had an opportunity to discuss European issues with the students. This time I came to take part in Kazan Summit and made a proposal to visit this historical and successful university again.”

Later in the conversation with the journalists the Minister mentioned the contribution of scholars and graduates of this university to science, education and culture of Russia. Three years ago he was impressed by the profound knowledge of the students.

The delegation also visited the Institute of International Relations, History and Oriental Studies where they were shown the Center of Central Asian and Turkish Studies. The delegation members met with the students who specialize in Turkic studies.
