The official visit of KFU delegation to USA started on March, 27.
The delegation is represented by Rector Ilshat Gafurov, Vice-Rector for Research Danis Nurgaliev, Vice-Rector for International Relations Linar Latypov, Director of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology Andrei Kiiasov, Head of Marketing Office Leyla Mukhtarova, lead specialist of External Relations Office Kamilla Bagavieva.
The agenda of the first day includes meetings at Penn State University with President Rodney Erickson and leading experts in petroleum and natural gas engineering, economics, power and material engineering, mineral sciences. Moreover, the KFU representatives will have a tour of Chevron Drilling Laboratory and Drilling Simulation laboratory.
Penn State University is one of 15 best public research universities in USA with annual enrollment of more than 44 000 students. It has with 24 campuses.
Later this week the delegation will visit University of Pennsylvania, American Councils for International Education, etc.
Reference: Cooperation of Kazan Federal University with US universities has been intensively developed for more than a decade. The main partners are University of Pittsburgh, State University of New York, Arizona State University, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Indiana State University.
