On August, 12 was paid tribute to Mikhail Nuzhin who had been Rector of the University for 25 years (1954 - 1979).

In the day of the 30-th anniversary since the death of Mikhail Nuzhin flowers were laid at his monument. Rectors who were managing the University in various years, colleagues and disciples honored memory.  

Current KFU Rector expressed gratitude for coming, he described Rector Nuzhin as a person who became a legend and opened doors to many scientists.

Former Rector, Alexander Konovalov, who occupied the post after Mikhail Nuzhin shared his memories: “His life was inseparable from the University, when he was asked about the most important thing in his life, he was always answering that it had been the University”.     

Yuriy Konoplev, who was the Rector in 1990-2001, noted that Mikhail Nuzhin was a great speaker and lecturer, he delivered learning materials in a simple manner. His rich life experience helped him to orientate in the most complicated situations.
