Countries with advanced technologies attract foreign scientists in the framework of academic exchanges. Norway also has a program for academic exchanges to attract leading specialists who work in field of making the technological progress.

Professor Nigmatullin advised young scientists to participate in this program as Norwegian side covers all expenses. Scheme of this program is very thorough as it includes various members who are responsible for concrete tasks: principal investigator, exe­cutive researcher, basic researches, assistants and postdoctorate fellows. Program coordinators search for basic researches on various conferences, read different articles and pay attention to their rating.

Such academic exchanges may contribute to cooperation establishment between universities and conclusion more detailed agreements on level of Institute Directors and Rectors.

Professor Nigmatullin won grant and in its framework he could work in Oslo University, Institute of Computer Science for a month. Within this grant program Professor Nigmatullin had to deliver four lectures, prepare four projects on lecture materials and carry out two seminars for Institute members.  

Institute of Computer Sciences at Oslo University is engaged into fundamental tasks connected with development of new methods of random signal analysis and picture visualization, underwater hydro acoustics and application of methods of ultrasonic diagnostics in medicine.

Professor Nigmatullin was impressed by Norway. He noted that Norwegians go in for sports, do not consume alcohol.
