The parties held a meeting on June 7th.

The Korean side is represented by Director for Foreign Affairs Lee Hee Chun. Our guests started with a traditional visit to the Museum of History and paid special attention to the exhibits related to the Eastern studies, in particular the Center for Korean Studies that has been working at KFU since 2007. Professor Go Yeong Cheol, one of the employees of said center, accompanied his compatriots during the talks. Language courses, of course, will be one of the items on the academic exchange list.

Gimcheon University is a private institution known for its innovative activities. Its strengths are medicine, biology, psychology, and teacher education. These are all interesting as potential areas of cooperation since they are also parts of KFU's new strategic academic units.

The visitors proceeded to familiarize themselves with the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology and the Institute of Psychology and Education. Vice-Rector for Foreign Relations of KFU Linar Latypov extended the University's welcome to all employees of Gimcheon who wish to make use of new collaboration opportunities.
