UNIVERSMOTRI became a full-fledged cable channel on October 1st, the partnering operator is PJSC Tattelecom.

Universmotri is a student TV channel based at KFU and uniting all the student TV productions of Tatarstan under its umbrella. The channel presents news, student’s programs, talk shows, lives from events, scientific and educational programs by Russian TV companies.

Director of KFU Media Center Ildar Karimov explains, «Universmotri is included in Tattelecom’s package since October 1st, IPTV is also available. So now Universmotri’s shows can be watched all around Tatarstan. Not only students’ own content but also educational info and KFU’s research achievements can now be widely popularized».

Negotiations are held with several other cable operators to enter their networks. Other universities of Tatarstan are supposed to gradually provide more of their own content for the channel.

KFU is now participating in the establishment of Russian national student news portal, so it won't be long time until Universmotri is watched in the whole country.
