KFU Delegation Will Participate in XXVII International Olympiad in Informatics

The competition is to take place at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University from July,26th till August, 2nd.

International Olympiad in Informatics - is the most prestigious annual competitive programming competition for secondary school students. The first IOI was held in 1989 in Pravetz, Bulgaria.

The contest consists of two days of computer programming and problem-solving of algorithmic nature. Points, obtained during the two days of the competition are summarized on an individual basis, with up to four students competing from each participating country.

The delegation was sent to Kazakhstan with a special mission: to adopt the organization experience.
For the first time in history, Russia will be hosting the olympiad in 2016. Kazan won the right to host the event over other bidding cities from Japan and Azerbaijan. Intellectual contest will take place on the premises of Kazan Federal University.
