Getting to Kazan and Meeting Arrangements

Please make sure you have the following documents upon arrival to Kazan Federal University

In all other cases (e.g. having entered the country on a business or tourist visa, or on a student visa obtained with an invitation from another university), KFU will be unable to assist you.


Directly to Kazan: There are direct flights to Kazan from Almaty (Kazakhstan), Antalya (Turkey), Baku (Azerbaijan), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), Dubai (UAE), Dushanbe (Tajikistan), Larnaca (Cyprus), Thessalonica (Greece), Istanbul (Turkey), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Helsinki (Finland), Hurghada (Egypt), Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt) and others.

Via Moscow: The trip from Moscow to Kazan can either be made by plane (from Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo airports) or by train (from Kazanskiy railway station). The duration of the train trip is about 12 hours (sleeper). Flight prices from Moscow to Kazan normally start at 3000 RUR, while train tickets start at 1000 RUR. Individuals who plan to travel to Kazan through Moscow should note that, if their plane or train arrives in Moscow in the morning, it is possible to leave for Kazan on the same day. Otherwise, they would have to stay in Moscow overnight.
