Language Requirements

Тraining at KFU is conducted in Russian.

Training in some programmes at KFU Institute of Philology and Art is conducted in both Russian and Tatar. These include e.g. Tatar Language and Literature, Applied Philology (Tatar Language and Literature, Information Technology).

Russian Certificate

One of the following documents may serve to certify that a candidate possesses sufficient Russian language ability for studies at the University:

A) Certificate of secondary education from a school where teaching is conducted in Russian
B) Certificate of completing the preparatory faculty of the State System of pre-university training.
C) The Certificate of the State System of Russian testing for foreigners. Level 1 (Bachelor and Specialist Diploma Programmes) or Level 2 (Masters and Doctoral Programs).

If you do not speak Russian, you have to take the one-year language training course at KFU International Preparatory School. Studies at Preparatory School are not included in the general University curriculum.

Tatar Certificate.
Any certificate is welcome. Individual Tatar test will be taken at the start of the program.
