Intensive Language Course

Summer school at Kazan Federal University is a four weeks certificate-awarding program. It has been held at KFU in summer, mostly in August, since mid-1970-s now. Core of the Program is the Russian Language course of Grammar and Conversation that is adapted to the students' level of language proficiency. It can be very handy both for those willing to brush up their Russian, and for those planning to continue studying at Russian Universities. Besides studying, the summer school provides opportunities to hang out with other students; enjoy nature; explore Kazan and vicinity, visit museums and exhibitions; learn about Russian and Tatar cuisine and traditions.

Term and duration: 4 weeks, from August, 1 to August, 26

Participants: must be with some knowledge of Russian (A1-B1) and be above 17 years old. We organize a group for the beginners if the number of applications exceeds 5. During the study the participants will be split in groups with around 10 people in each.

The Summer School schedule looks somewhat like this:

10.00 - 13.00 – Practical Russian (Grammar and Conversation) - 20 academy hours per week;

13.00 - 14.30 – break for lunch;

14.30 - 15.30 – «Russian Song» (optional) - 4 academy hours per week;

and/or

14.30 - 16.00 - “Country study” - 16 academy hours per week

Certificate will be awarded to the course participants on completion.

Fees and payments :

Tuition fee: 28700 rubles (01.08-26.08.2019)

Accommodation with a family, room and breakfast: price begins at 20 000 rubles.

Transfer from/to airport: 1000 rubles.

Sightseeing trips (optional): around 3500 rubles.
