At the Kazan University the creation of the system of research and educational centers, including the ones in the sphere of the Humanities is being completed. These centers are creating a resource for preparation of projects with an interdisciplinary methodological approach, relevant scientific products for grant support, project commercialization, the results of intellectual activity registration, academic and foreign participation as collaborators, creation of effective selection of postgraduate students.

At the Institute of International Relations, History and Oriental Studies are currently functioning 23 scientific centers and 6 research laboratories.
