The department specializes in the scientific activity of bilingual, multilingual and translingual education and comparative and contrastive studies. Teachers are actively engaged in research work. Their results are reflected in the development and implementation of modern educational technologies of the educational process which have been published in educational materials, textbooks.

Teachers actively take part in working on course works, diploma works and thesis. Topics of these research works are selected with the specificity of Higher School, modern tendencies of a pedagogical science and educational practice, and national and cultural characteristics are taken into account as well.
