KFU student organizations got their home

On Saturday, October 25, a Student Organizations Centre, the first in the Volga Federal District, opened at Kazan University.  

The official opening ceremony gathered over 80 participants of the 3rd All-Russian Meeting of the Council of University Vice-Rectors for Education, Sergey Pospelov, Head of the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Ilshat Gafurov, KFU Rector, and the core audience - students.

“Snipping the ribbon today, we present the talented youth of Kazan University with a home. The Centre can host conferences, meetings, and video calls with colleagues from other regions”, addressed Ilshat Gafurov to the attendees, who were invited for an excursion around the centre that comprised  patriotic education centres, a regional centre for students` teams and volunteers, an anti-corruption student movement centre, an international students association, a University Village students association, a business incubator, a brain club, debate clubs, painting studios, a  nanotechnologies club, literature clubs, a career planning centre, Snezhny Desant search party, politics clubs, a tourist club, and many other organizations.

The project is of prime importance as it is aimed to discover gifted students and  educe their talents.

“I believe the Student Organizations Centre will not only serve Kazan University. I am sure it will become interacademic, at least for the Volga Region. I wish only good ideas would come out of here”, summarized Ilshat Gafurov.
