Professor Zhdanov received the medal named after Speranskiy from the Russian Academy of medical sciences and the Scientific and research Institute of general pathology pathophysiology for the great contribution in the development of physical and chemical biology and fundamental medicine.

This medal is given personally for the outstanding scientific works, discoveries and inventions or for the corpus of works of valuable scientific and practical meaning. Professor Zhdanov was honored for the scientific work that he carried out at the laboratory of functional genomics and lipidomics. According him, the work has been carried out jointly with the scientists from KFU.
