EU from the perspective of young intellectuals

On April, 14 was opened All-Russian conference for students United in diversity: EU Today. EU centre VOICES at Kazan Federal University organized the event.

2-day conference program includes lectures and trainings from leading experts in International and European Law. Moreover, finalists of All-Russian Contest on European Studies among students of secondary schools and junior students from universities. It bears reminding that in the extramural stage of the contest participated more than 800 students from 89 Russian regions. Representatives of 15 regions participated in the final stage.

Key topic of the conference was devoted to human rights. It is determined by the fact that European countries contribution to the development of this area is invaluable.

Sariya Saburskaya, Tatarstan ombudsmen, participated in the opening ceremony of the All-Russian conference. While speaking she reminded about the milestones in the history of human rights relating to ombudsmen emergence in the world.
