May 7, 8 - Kazan Federal University received the official delegation of Innsbruck University, headed by its Rector - Prof. Tilmann Mark.
Members of the delegation visited the Institute of Philology and Arts, Institute of Language, Italian center and also the museum of KFU history.
Meeting with the KFU management was held at the Rector's Conference Room in the format of "round table".
Tillmann Mark noted that the University of Innsbruck has a large number of connections and collaborates with higher institutions around the world, but until now it has not had close contacts with universities in the Russian Federation. The delegation members expressed their hope for close and fruitful cooperation with such an outstanding, in their opinion, higher school, as Kazan Federal University.
May 8 – visit results were summarized and two universities mapped out a plan for further cooperation. Members of the delegation had an opportunity to talk directly to the directors of KFU Institutes during the round-table meeting.
The visit outcome was signing a Memorandum of Understanding between KFU and the University of Innsbruck.
In a conversation with reporters, Tillmann Mark noted that the Universities of Innsbruck and Kazan have much in common. Both of them are classical and focus on scientific and technical research which is appropriate as there is no science without quality education.
