The head of L. N. Tolstoy Division of Russian and Foreign Philology of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of KFU, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor Rezeda Failevna Mukhametshina, won the Republican contest “Woman of the Year. Man of the Year: Woman’s View” in the nomination “Lady-Scientist”.

Results of the Republican contest were summed up in the concert hall of the Volga Region State Academy of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism. Chairman of the Council of State of the RT, Mr. Farid Mukhametshin, congratulated the winners.

Over a thousand women from all cities and regions of Tatarstan were invited for this event. Being leaders, these women successfully apply their business abilities and creative potential in all spheres of social life: in the family, business, science, culture, public health care, industry, public management. As the speaker of Tatarstan Parliament noted, in certain industries women play even a key role.

— We, men, sometimes do not see the woman’s mission in the society behind everyday fuss and difficulties, but it’s invaluable, – emphasized Mr. Farid Mukhametshin. Then he once again congratulated women of the Republic with the holiday and devoted a poem to them.

About 400 women took part in the zonal qualification round of the contest this year. 84 winners of zonal stages were selected by the decision of the jury; 30 of them won the Republican contest “Woman of the Year. Man of the Year: Woman’s View”.

The head of L. N. Ms. Rezeda Mukhametshina was recommended for participation in the contest by the University Women’s League, members of which greatly worried about her and supported her.
