DAAD Information Centre Opened in Kazan

On March, 11 was held an opening ceremony of DAAD Information centre  in KFU.

For information: DAAD is a private, federally funded and state-funded, self-governing national agency of the institutions of higher education in Germany, representing 365 German higher education institutions (100 universities and technical universities, 162 general universities of applied sciences, and 52 colleges of music and art).

The ceremony was carried out in the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication. On the occasion of this solemn event head of unit “North” at DAAD, PhD, Professor Pieper Annette came to Kazan. KFU Vice-Rector for External Relations Linar Latypov, Head of External Relations Office Andrey Krylov and representatives of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication participated there.

The meeting was opened by Vice-Rector for External Relations Linar Latypov. He paid attention to historical facts that prove strong connections between Germany and Tatarstan, first of all, in the sphere of science.

Pieper Annette told about the goals and plans of Kazan center. If you address to this center you may get the information concerning education and research in Germany. Moreover, the centre conducts special events in universities, educational and research institutions of Volga Federal Region, participates in exhibitions, offers consulting on education and research internships in Germany. Head of DAAD Information centre Thilo Zinecker delivered a welcoming word inviting to the centre.
