On February 4, 2014, the School of Public Administration has started its first professional development programs of the year: “Civil service”, “Quality management in public services delivery”, and “Civil service performance: indicators, improvement methods, and consequences”.
During the opening ceremony, Alexandr Belov, Head of the Department for Public Service and Personnel of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, welcomed participants of the programs - civil servants of the republic. While pointing out that the government is proud of the education system in the field of professional development of civil servants, he referred to the School as a unique opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills and develop informal communication among colleges. Also, Alexandr Belov informed the audience about innovations in 2014 such as the rotation of civil servants, the development of the personnel reserve of the republic, the optimization of the civil service apparatus, and others. In conclusion, he wished the participants an active and fruitful learning experience.
Lilya Nurgatina, Director of the School, conducted a presentation on the school performance. She emphasized that the Kazan federal university, alone with the Moscow state university, has been historically devoted to the training of civil servants. “Today, we are witnessing the new blossoming of these traditions, the rebirth of the Kazan university with the federal status”, said the school director. “And your continuous education and professional development are important for us. It is the only way to be active and successful in your professional and personal life. We endeavor to make the School of public administration a platform that will help you to succeed.”
