According to web-site of Ministry of Education and Science the number of master students receiving governmental scholarship will be increased twice. Minister noted that about quarter of bachelor students will be able to study on master program.

In whole, the amount of government-supported places will be increased by 1.5%, meanwhile, the amount of school-leavers will be reduced by 3.2%. In this respect, for school leavers it will get easier to enter higher educational institutes.

The number of government-supported places allocated for engineering and technical specialties will be increased by 21% in 2015, whilst admission on agricultural, social, pedagogical as well as cultural and art specialties will be reduced. 17952 government-supported places will be available for post-graduate studies.

In 2014 for 100 school-leavers were allocated 56 government-supported places in universities – that was by 4 places more than in 2013. In overall 502.799 students will be able to study on undergraduate, specialist, graduate and postgraduate programs. 

First of all, Ministry of Education and Science decides on how many places will be granted for each specialty and level of training and then allocates it between universities.
