Currently there was signed an agreement on cooperation between educational institutions. Recently representatives from London have come to discuss further steps for cooperation.

This project is an interdisciplinary one. KFU is represented by the Institute of Mass Communications and Social Sciences and Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology. He also added that their results could substantially contribute to Russian and Tatarstan medicine.

But what is this project about? Sociologists and health professionals will study this question and from both sides. Sociologists will figure out the specificity of peoples` life style and environmental factors, whilst health professionals will examine peoples` health. Professor from London School, David Leon, considers this project to be innovatory and creative one.

It is known that preparatory stage for joint work has already started in February. As all organizational issues were settled, currently sides proceeded to discussion of project implementation, its technical and methodological issues. According to Mr. Leon in the future this project will be extended including other Russian and international universities.
