Professor Sverre Holm about medical ultrasound diagnosis

KFU members and students attended lecture devoted to complications of ultrasound diagnostics that was held in the Institute of Physics made by Professor Holm from the University of Oslo.

Professor Sverre Holm from the University of Oslo underlined that significance of this topic lies in its application.

Sverre Holm has been studying this topic since 1990 trying to get higher dimension and, eventually, he achieved success.

In the lecture he told about the main principles of medical ultrasound diagnostics, visualization mode, ultrasound instruments, detector types and image dimensions, bioeffects, security and new technologies.

Sverre Holm won a grant from the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Science for academic exchange. In the framework of which KFU Professor Ravil Nigmatullin got an opportunity to visit the University of Oslo. Professor Holm and his postgraduate student, Vikash Pandey, made a reciprocal visit to KFU. They have stayed in Kazan for 4 days, on September, 13 Professor Holm organized another seminar dedicated to Elastometry.
