KFU and Griffith University discussed cooperation issues

On September, 18 Kazan Federal University was visited by Nataliya Kononova from AusTrade and Regional Manager of Griffith University, Anthony Bradley.

Guests had meeting with KFU President, Myakzyum Salakhov, and Head of the External Relations Office, Andrey Krylov. Kazan colleagues were interested in Griffith University experience in attracting international students. Currently 43000 students receive education in Griffith University, more than 11000 are international students from 131 countries.

Issue concerning ranking was also discussed with guests. The Griffith University is located in Australia`s fastest growing region, according to educational rankings it occupies the following positions: QS ‑ №341, ARWU – 301-400. According to QS and Times HE this University is included into Top 100 among universities under the age of 50.

Finishing the meeting Mr. Bradley underlined that the first step towards mutually beneficial cooperation was already made and he proposed to send draft of agreement. Kazan colleagues were interested in studies in Engineering, Biomolecular and Physical sciences, Computer Science and Communication Technologies.
