Department of Mathematical Linguistics and IT in Philology of KFU Institute of Philology and Arts launches new specialty – Applied Philology: Tatar Language and Literature, IT- 032700.62 (Bachelor Degree, 4 years).
This specialty was opened in 2012/2013 academic year. It unites Philology and IT. Students except for fundamental classical philological education undergo compulsory training in modern IT.
In the context of the 21st century it is very important to be a highly educated person and be able to combine traditions and modernity. Today the most important discoveries are made at the intersection of various sciences. For specialists who master different spheres of knowledge it is easier to find place in life. The majority of modern technologies are tightly connected with the language and its processing. In such famous companies as MicroSoft, Yandex, Google, ABBYY, IT-Park of the Republic of Tatarstan and others software specialists work with philologists.
