The First Republican workshop “Foreign students in Russia” took place on May 23-24, 2013 at Kazan Power Engineering University. This workshop gathered international students, representatives of different universities international offices, ministers, rectors, ambassadors of foreign countries and experts.
Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Mr. Engel Fattakhov and Rector of Kazan Federal University Mr. Ilshat Gafurov were among distinguished guests.
In the course of workshop were announced results of opinion surveys and Kazan international student’s living standards monitoring. Issues of social and academic adaptation, security and employment were discussed within 2 days. As a result were adopted Conception of work with international students and guidance for international students, which includes practical information about life and study in foreign country.
Along with KPEU, Students League of the Republic of Tatarstan, Association of Kazan international students and postgraduate students supported by Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan and Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan organized this event.
During the festival “National Cuisines” guests could make an acquaintance with culinary presentations of foreign states and taste dishes, cooked by international students of Kazan Power Engineering University.
