KFU Rector Lenar Safin and honorary guests of the university took part in the celebration of the anniversary.

At the end of the assembly days – the celebration of the 219th anniversary of Kazan Federal University and the 125th anniversary of Elabuga Institute of KFU - KFU Rector Lenar Safin and honored guests came to congratulate the university on its anniversary.

The crowning celebration was the ball. The tradition of celebrating the birthdays of KFU and Elabuga Institute in this way appeared more than ten years ago. The ball was opened by the director of the university, Elena Merzon, who performed in the first pair of polonaise.

The ball was embellished with Viennese waltz, linear and imperial polka, blues foxtrot, jive. At the end of the celebration, the candles on the cake were blown out, and the students chanted "Vivat, University!" under the fireworks lights.
