"Pedagogical weekend" at Elabuga Institute

The meeting was held by Associate Professor of the Chair of Psychology Guzalia Shagivaleeva

On December 25, 2021, a regular meeting of representatives of Elabuga Institute of KFU with 11th grade students was held as part of the Pedagogical Weekend project.

Associate Professor of the Chair of Psychology Guzalia Rasikhovna became the host of the event within the walls of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy of Elabuga Institute of KFU.

The teacher noted that the purpose of the lesson is to introduce modern methods and techniques for the development of communicative competence and value-semantic competencies in high school students. Communicative competence is one of the significant soft-competences of a teacher.

Guzalia Rasikhovna introduced the audience to technologies that allow them to effectively interact with each other, take a step towards a partner and the ability to establish trusting relationships with him.

Shagivaleeva Guzalia conducted exercises to enhance the effect of constructive interaction with each other, to develop the ability to work in a team, the ability to establish contact with others and the ability to negotiate. The guys in quasi-conditions got the opportunity to work out effective methods and strategies for making decisions in difficult non-standard situations. At the lesson, the children learned to overcome communication barriers and build effective communication.

High school students tried their hand at solving case problems, situations, took active part during the lesson, at the end of which they made the following conclusion: “The ability to overcome emerging difficulties and effectively interact with others is the key to a person’s success in any sphere of life”. The students also noted that the art of interacting with each other is a whole science, with its own rules and characteristics, which you need to study and learn how to apply this knowledge in life.

At the lesson, the teacher also revealed the features of the profession of a teacher-psychologist and his work in various fields of activity. Guzaliya Shagivaleeva noted that "a teacher-psychologist is responsible for that side of the pedagogical process, which no one else can professionally deal with except for him, namely, for the mental development and psychological health of children and schoolchildren." The children learned about the methods and techniques that a modern educational psychologist uses in his work.

The final stage of the training was "Reflection", where the students shared their impressions and gave feedback on the lesson.

At the end of the lesson, the high school students made the following conclusion: “Everything is in our hands. And even if now someone is dissatisfied with themselves and the attitude towards oneself, everything can be changed. It is within our power. As the French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery said: "The key to the people around me lies in myself."
