The editors of the journal 'Education and Self-Development' registered a record number of submitted articles

The publishing portfolio of the journal “Education and Self-Development” is very extensive and full for the year ahead. At the moment, the co-editor of the journal is Nick Rushby, visiting professor at the Institute of Psychology and Education, who headed the journal Programmed Learning and Educational Technology, then Interactive Learning International and, finally, for the last 22 years (until December 2015) worked as the editor of the British Journal of Educational Technology.

As a co-editor of the journal “Education and Self-Development”, since 2016, Nick Rashby has provided advice and practical assistance in bringing the KFU journal in line with international standards of scientific publications. As a result, the journal in 2020 became the second Russian publication in the field of education and the first humanitarian journal of Kazan University, included in the fourth quartile of the Scopus database. Chief scientific editor of the journal “Education and Self-Development”, Professor, Head of the Pedagogy Department of the Institute of Psychology and Education Rosa Valeeva noted, that with the growing popularity of the journal, the competition among authors who want to publish their scientific articles in the journal “Education and Self-Development” also increases. – A significant increase in new arrivals has been observed since January 2021. February became a record in this regard. Last month, 37 manuscripts were received by the editors. The number of submitted articles has almost tripled compared to last year’s data. This testifies to the colossal work of the editors on the development and promotion of the journal, on improving the quality of accepted articles, on the ability to publish research by the most prominent specialists, experienced and authoritative researchers. The editors have already changed the structure of the journal: instead of four Russians and four foreign ones, now five articles are not printed. only Russian studies, but also the authors – the world’s leading scientists. This will increase the citation rate, and therefore the global authority of the university.
