The director of Elabuga Institute of Kazan Federal University revealed the advantages of a university in a small town and answered questions from journalists.
Elabuga Institute of KFU, with the support of Tatmedia, held a press tour for journalists and bloggers, in which representatives of Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Mamadysh, Nizhnekamsk, Mendeleevsk, Yelabuga took part. A press conference was held in the lecture hall of the House of Scientific Collaboration, in which the main speaker was the director of the university, Elena Merzon. At the meeting, the head emphasized changes in one of the important areas of the university's work – teacher training. “The main requirement of our time is a specialist who possesses digital skills, the ability to organize project activities, critical thinking and many other competencies. The world is changing, educational institutions of a new generation are being created - a multilingual school, the House of Scientific Collaboration. The teacher will work in a complex world that presents new challenges every day,”said the speaker. Elena Efimovna named important numbers on admission to budgetary places: this year, only in full-time education, their number has increased by 106. For the first time, budgetary places in the direction of "Economics" have been opened. 97 budget places were allocated for "Applied Informatics", 42 - for "Linguistics".
